Resources for New Communicators

Resources for campus communicators and marketers

All UF communicators and marketers are encouraged to join the UF Communicators Network, a community of communicators, designers, information officers, artists, specialists, marketers, and public relations strategists who work together to enhance the university's image across local, statewide, national, and global audiences. As a member, you will receive updates and messages from the central Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing, helping you stay connected and informed about resources you may need in your role.

To begin receiving the periodic Communicators' UFCN announcements, including SCM Communicators’ summer workshops and UFCN Buzz events and reminders, please visit the UFCN page and complete the form.

Where are the available resources?

Brand Center

Visit the university's Brand Center to familiarize yourself with the university’s brand standards, web theme, digital guidelines, writing style guide, photo galleries, and other resources.

UF Calendar

SCM facilitates the university calendar that serves to notify people across campus of upcoming events and serves as a source of information for campus newsletters. Calendar events can be submitted at calendar.ufl.edu.

Faculty Resources Page

SCM hosts a Faculty Resources page featuring opportunities for faculty to promote their work and expertise. Making your faculty aware and helping us promote the opportunities on the page can help your faculty explore what opportunities are most appealing for them (SCM will keep you in the loop!).

To submit items for consideration, email news@ufl.edu.

UF in the News newsletter

Please contact us at news@ufl.edu or email Blake Trauschke at btrauschke@ufl.edu.

Social

Reaching a broad audience of more than 2 million followers, UF social and multimedia channels are always looking to elevate strong content and visual storytelling that showcase the university’s innovation and academic excellence. To learn more about how we can partner on social and multimedia content, email Fairen Horner (fairenhorner@ufl.edu). Just as the UF social strategy is interactive and engagement-driven, so are we. Email social@ufl.edu to join our TEAMS group to connect with creatives across the university and keep up with all things digital. For UF social media standards, visit the Brand Center.

UF homepage hero

As the digital front door of the university, the UF homepage receives more than 240,000 users a month. In the hero, we feature photos and stories that highlight the university’s most impactful research or stories of students and alumni who are changing the world. If you are working on a story package, we welcome submissions. Learn more about UF homepage hero requirements and the submission process.
