Ana Mertz
Director of Marketing and Web Strategy
Ana oversees the advertising, web, SEO, and email marketing operations for the Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing.
During her time at SCM, she led efforts along with UFIT to create the official UF web theme, Mercury, and has worked on award-winning digital campaigns and landing pages.
Prior to joining the University of Florida, Ana worked at marketing agencies where she held roles in digital marketing and web project management. During her marketing days, Ana helped clients in industries ranging from trucking to retail, higher education, telecommunications, and non-profit.
Ana is a UF alumna. She a earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations with a minor in French, and a master’s degree in mass communications, focusing on international and intercultural communications.
Ana has a passion for learning about other cultures and working in diverse environments. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, trying new local restaurants, going on outdoor adventures and traveling.
