Fairen leads the University of Florida’s content and social media marketing strategy, bringing the UF brand to life online. She guides the creative direction and messaging for all social and multimedia platforms, shaping the vision for UF videography, photography, and social media. She believes in a human-centric, data-driven, don’t-be-afraid-to-be-weird marketing approach.‌

Along with functioning as the digital voice, eyes, and ears for the university, Fairen oversees UF’s brand identity standards – shielding and advancing the brand to keep Gator Nation looking its absolute best.‌

In other words, she’s UF’s digital bodyguard and stylist.‌

Prior to this role, Fairen built a #1 Twitter and #2 Instagram account for her alma mater, Virginia Tech – ranked two years in a row against all D1 schools. Thanks to her time at Blacksburg Transit – the system serving the university and town – she knows an abnormal amount about buses as well...just don’t ask her for directions. Here, she developed an APTA Grand Prize-winning digital ad campaign that helped solve their driver shortage.‌

For no reason whatsoever, she also feels the need to share that she has turtles. And a wiener dog.
